Hospices, nursing facilities must report quality data or lose Medicare dollars
The days of wine and roses are up for long-term care facilities and hospices. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has insisted those institutions begin gathering and reporting quality data or face cuts on Medicare reimbursements. Hospices will officially begin reporting data in 2013, while long-term care hospitals will begin reporting in 2014.
