• For Q3 2009, revenues from continuing operations were $745.0 million, up 10.4 percent from $675.1 million for the same period a year ago.
• Net income attributable to LifePoint Hospitals, Inc., for Q3 2009, was $0.58 per diluted share, compared with $0.16 per diluted share, for the same period last year.
• Overall net income totaled $31.4 million for Q3 2009, up from $8.5 million in Q3 2008.
• According to the Nashville Post, LifePoint beat analysts earnings estimates for the quarter. However, admissions grew by only 0.8 percent from the same period last year, and same-hospital admissions were down 3.7 percent.
