SPOTLIGHT: HCA on acquisition trail
HCA CEO Jack Bovender has made it official--he's on the acquisition trail. The company is looking to acquire a large, urban not-for-profit system with lead position in a fast-growing market, Bovender told Modern Healthcare. On the flip side, HCA's also willing to divest hospitals for the right price, though that's not its primary approach to dealing with its ongoing debt from its $33 billion leveraged buyout. Article
