State governors ask for Medicaid help

President-elect Obama asked for the advice of governors and state legislators on resolving the current financial crisis, and one of the first requests they had for him was about healthcare. Specifically, they are looking for federal help to supplement their state Medicaid programs until the economy stabilizes, to make sure that Medicaid can keep paying for its patients' hospital visits. Article
